Idaho legislator-owned pharmacy is now selling ivermectin, while uncertainty over state regulations persists

- Redman co-sponsored SB 1211, allowing over-the-counter ivermectin sales; he disclosed a Rule 80 conflict of interest before voting but was still permitted to vote.
- Within weeks, his co-owned Medicine Man Prairie Pharmacy in Hayden was among the first in Idaho to sell ivermectin without a prescription.
- The Idaho Board of Pharmacy stated that "state law requires a prescription for any compounded medication," raising questions about whether the pharmacy's in-house compounded ivermectin complied with administrative rules.
- Redman said "no one is getting rich" selling it; the CDA Press reported his pharmacy sold it labeled as "Immune Support" with an FDA disclaimer on the bottle.

- House Minority Leader Ilana Rubel said many of his nearly 30 bills in the 2025 session came from "outside influencers" and were "at odds with the interests of the people of Idaho"; Rep. Ben Fuhriman (R) said they were from "bill mills" with "national agendas trying to push themselves in Idaho."
- The Idaho Family Policy Center named him its 2025 "Christian Statesman of the Year" after he completed its Statesmen Academy training program for new Christian legislators.
- Redman acknowledged two DUI charges in his 20s, calling them "bad decisions."

Divided Idaho House passes bill critics say will repeal Medicaid expansion

- Redman's HB 138 passed the House 38-32, requiring Idaho to enact 11 Medicaid policy changes or repeal the voter-approved Medicaid expansion entirely, which would remove approximately 89,300 Idahoans from coverage.
- Rep. Ben Fuhriman (R) said on the House floor: "This bill is designed to repeal Medicaid expansion." The bill stalled in the Senate.
- Many of the required federal waivers had previously been sought and denied; critics said the conditions were designed to be unattainable.
