Brent Regan's Precinct Committeeman Slate

Precinct committeemen are the 74 members of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee. They vote on every "Rated and Vetted" endorsement. They elect the KCRCC chairman. 38 seats constitute a majority. Whoever controls these seats controls the committee.

These 70 candidates are running in the May 2026 Primary as an organized slate, coordinated under the name "Kootenai Freedom Caucus." Their loyalty is to Chairman Brent Regan. Several have documented records on this site. The record of KCRCC-endorsed candidates in Kootenai County is documented here.

The KCRCC calls itself the official Republican Party of Kootenai County. Its rating and vetting process claims to assess candidates for competence. The Kootenai Freedom Caucus distributed a slate card calling its candidates "Real Conservatives." The card's website URL misspells the county: "kootenia" instead of "Kootenai."

The 2026 KCRCC voter guide was stamped for mass mailing under the Idaho Republican Party's PAC and directed Republican voters on page 3 to kootenaifreedomcaucus.org โ€” Regan's own slate website. Official Idaho GOP party funds were used to promote Regan's candidates in an internal party race for KCRCC control. IDGOP voter guide, April 2026 (archive)
