Plot to install an antisemite in Democratic Party leadership

March 2022
  • A recording captured KCRCC members discussing a plan to take over the Kootenai Democratic Party.
  • KCRCC Youth Committeeman Dan Bell named Brent Regan as the plan's author.
  • The plan was to install Reilly as chair of the local Democratic Party.
  • Reilly announced a write-in run for governor as a Democrat; Regan then tried to distance himself.

  • Mother Jones called Kootenai County a "bellwether for radicalization," naming him and the KCRCC.
